Do you need a standalone gate?
If DVC, MLflow, Snakemake, or another reviewed control already covers this job, keep it. v1 is for one small local contract.
Paid local software · v1.0.0 · Private delivery
Declare the local authority files, inputs, exact identities, discovery rules, and byte limits another tool should require. Replay Input Preflight returns READY, REVIEW, or BLOCKED without invoking the replay.
Already using DVC, MLflow, Snakemake, or an equivalent input gate? Keep it. This package is for a small standalone local contract and verifiable evidence pack. No account is required to run it; no checkout is active. Do not send replay inputs, datasets, code, credentials, or private strategy material.
Declare the workspace, authorities, expected inputs, exact hashes, discovery rules, and hard ceilings.
Retain report.json, summary.md, and SHA256SUMS.txt in a deterministic create-only pack.
The tool reads only declared local paths and makes no runtime network request, upload, or telemetry call.
Supported decision
Use it when a run should stop before execution because a required authority is missing, a file identity changed, a directory manifest differs, a discovery count falls outside policy, or the declared byte envelope is exceeded.
Fast fit check
If DVC, MLflow, Snakemake, or another reviewed control already covers this job, keep it. v1 is for one small local contract.
You must name the authorities, inputs, optional hashes, discovery rules, and resource ceilings in JSON.
The result says whether declared checks passed; it does not validate meaning, independence, or completeness.
This tool stops at the preflight record. Your reviewed workflow decides whether and how a replay runs.
Licensed runtime
python -m replay_input_preflight preflight contract.json --out readiness-pack
python -m replay_input_preflight verify readiness-packpreflight exits 0 for READY, 2 for REVIEW, 3 for BLOCKED, and 1 for invalid input or operation.
